- Greg Boland Added September 02, 2017★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I have a Jayco Caravan fitted with a three way Dometic Fridge, model RMD8555. It is just over twelve months old and the fridge is under a two year warranty. I have used the fridge once on a three month trip and then only a couple of times just to keep it running okay. A few weeks ago I tried to get it to work and it would not work at all and after contacting Dometic, dropped it off to their service representative in Pakenham. I was advised that the whole cooling system had to be replaced. This was very disconcerting after such a short period. However, what was worse is the extraordinary time to obtain the parts necessary, which is the end of April. We were due to cast off on another trip early April! If Dometic stand by their product, given this unreasonable time for parts, they should replace the whole fridge. Very disappointed in this situation at this time
